Friday Finds; January 13

This feature I want to share with you some things that make me smile.

First, this cool Coffee Bean Apron from stitchprincess. I love the color brown, and what a great design. Perfect for cooking a morning brunch with your neighbors.

Next, this awesome Sunflower Soap from sandyvern. Makes me smile when I see it, it's so bright and cheery.

Last, this "Thanks" card from emptyontheinside says it all. We have lost the art of writing thank you cards in our society, and what better way to show someone you appreciate them!

One of my very favorite colors is brown. I love all the beautiful fall shades in brown, from the lighter creams and tans to the deep rich chocolate browns. With that said, here are a few of my favorite browns that I have found this week:

Tuesday Treasures: soaps from sanyvern

Today I am featuring the lovely shop of sandyvern. Sandy is a self taught crafter, and is very talented in many different areas.

One of the things that caught my eye, however, is her soaps. She has been making soaps for about 3 years, and also makes cold process soaps and “melt and pour” soaps. Here are some of my favorites:

The first is this Decorative Flip Flop Soap:

Next this Lavender, Oatmeal, and Honey soap that my mother-in-law would just LOVE!

And of course these Fall Leaves Soaps are adorable too:

Sandy also loves her pets: a dog, a Border Collie X Australian shepherd cross, a kitten, 3 bearded dragons and 2 parrotlets.
