Wednesday What's New: Wine Charms

We have this problem when we have big family gatherings at my in-laws house. People can never remember where they left their wine glass and which one is theirs.

But now we have a solution! I made these multi-colored wine charms!

You take your charm and put it on your glass.

And now you know which one is yours. In fact they were so much fun to make, that I now have 5 sets available!

What kind of creative solution have you found lately? I'd love to hear about it!

Tuesday Treasures: omnipresents

Today I am featuring a fairly new shop on Etsy called omnipresents, specializing in handcrafted jewelry and accessories.

My favorite thing from her shop is this pendant. Very creative and beautiful wire-wrapping:

Each item is nicely packaged and individually wrapped in a small white gift box with a ribbon tied around it. She also attached a small charm shaped like a hand that reads “handmade" to the ribbon. Perfect for gift giving to yourself or someone else.

So please go visit her shop, and say that cksilver sent you!

Tuesday Treasures: Beading Supplies from Beadery Destash

I had the opportunity to visit the Beadery Destash today, and see their beautiful selection of beads and jewelry supplies.

First, I saw this beautiful blue lapis lazuli cabochon:

I am also loving these display busts for necklaces and earrings:

And last, I got so excited when I found these earring posts, I had to buy them they are so cute! Maybe some day you will see them in a new pair of earrings!

Thursday Thoughts: Vintage Stamp Pendants

Today I am featuring a fascinating artist, LotusMira, a maker of soldered vintage stamp pendants, soldered floating frames, and much more. The symbolism in her shop name is very thoughtful. Mira (pronounced "meera"), from the Sanskrit root meaning "prosperous," (one can hope!) is her middle name and her Indian/Bengali grandmother's first name.

The first soldered stamp pendant that caught my eye is this beautiful vintage Malaysian butterfly stamp:

I also really love this World Series Ghana stamp too, with this vivid map:

But how fun would it be to get this beautiful Periwinkle Beach floating frame for Christmas?

So go ahead, check out this talented Etsian, and tell her cksilver sent you!

Wednesday What's New: Loving on Kids in Need

Our family is on a journey this year in learning more about the joys and challenges of foster parenting. We had our first child this weekend, and it was a great experience to learn more about the process and for our family to experience it first hand for the first time.

This child was so sweet and innocent, and kept saying how much he missed his mom. Our kids were amazing and really stepped up to the plate to be helpful and loving, and said how much they appreciated doing foster care and being able to show God's love to this sweet little guy. And they were so sad when it was time for him to go. Our daughter kept asking me to call and find out when he could come play again.

Please join us through your prayers for us as we continue on this incredible journey that God has given us. To reach out to lost and hurting kids, and to be a family for them as long as they need it.
